How to Purchase Gems with Telegram

Yes. Telegram star payments are processed through Telegram's secure payment system, which is
backed by established payment providers. Your payment information is encrypted and handled
securely.
Telegram sets the price of Stars. On a phone, Stars are paid through Apple or Google and
can cost more than our bundle price. In Telegram Desktop you can also buy them by card.
That price is Telegram's or the app store's (Apple or Google), not ours, and we cannot
change it.
Once you press "Confirm and Pay" on our invoice, your gems usually appear within a minute.
On a phone, Stars are paid through Apple (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). In Telegram
Desktop they can also be bought by card. A declined card there is between you, your bank
and Apple, Google or Telegram:
- Check the card saved in your Apple or Google account, or add another one
- Ask your bank whether it blocks app store or online payments
- Still declined on a phone? Contact Apple or Google
Or pick another payment method on the gems page.
Telegram Desktop can buy Stars by card, but our invoice may not open there. If it doesn't,
use the Telegram app on your phone.
Once you have paid our invoice and your gems have arrived, the purchase is complete and
cannot be refunded.
This is the most common issue! Buying Stars and paying with them are two separate steps:
- Step 1: Buy Stars when Telegram shows "Stars Needed" (on a phone through Apple or Google, in Telegram Desktop also by card)
- Step 2: Press "Confirm and Pay" on our invoice (you spend Stars, you receive gems)
To check that you paid:
- Open Telegram
- Go to Settings, then My Stars
- Look for an outgoing payment for "Gems", shown with minus Stars

Stars still in your balance, no outgoing payment?
- You haven't paid us yet
- Press Telegram Stars on the gems page again
- Press "Confirm and Pay": your Stars pay for it, no need to buy more
If you see the outgoing payment but your gems haven't arrived within a few minutes,
use the support card below.
